President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is in the middle-east on an official visit.
The Maldivian president departed from Velana International Airport on Sunday morning and is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates upon the invitation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
As part of the trip, the president is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).
He is also scheduled to make an appearance at the ceremony to present the Zaid Sustainability Prize.
A delegation of high-level government officials accompanies the president during the official visit.
