As part of his two-day tour of five islands in Noonu atoll, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has toured the Noonu Atoll Hospital in Manadhoo Island.
During the visit he inquired on the progress of the project to develop an extension building for the hospital and met the management and staff and learned about the services, including the need for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Including six Outpatient Department (OPD) rooms and a laboratory, the new hospital extension project has been completed.
The announcement of tenders for all furnishing requirements and the installation of medical-grade air conditioning systems will be issued during the ongoing month.
Manadhoo is the third destination of the president’s tour and he is accompanied by members of his cabinet and senior government officials.
