President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has called on the nation to jointly engage in all efforts towards national progress.

In his message to the country in commemoration of the New Year 2022, the president urged communities nationwide to join hands in unity to support the country’s efforts towards development.

Highlighting that development will proceed more swiftly with the participation and contributions of all, the president urged the society to prioritize these efforts.

Going on to extend warm greetings and felicitations of the occasion, President Solih wished the people a year blessed with joy and good fortune, describing the past year as one that presented hope to overcome challenges of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

With this being said, the president expressed gratitude for the patience and solidarity the people showed during the administration’s efforts to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.

Urging the nation to remain resilient with the administration’s national resilience and recovery plans, President Solih highlighted the progress made in these efforts and urged the people to put intensive efforts and vigilance towards maintaining the precautionary measures imposed to curb the spread of the infection.

Touching down on the government’s efforts to ensure the entire nation has access to fundamental public services, the president expressed his confidence that the administration will be able to complete multiple significant infrastructural development projects this new year.

The new year was described by the president as one that will pave the path to ease and prosperity with the completion of multiple ongoing development projects, and one that will see the inauguration of more projects.

The people have also been urged to maintain national unity and harmony without which the full potential and benefits of the administration’s developmental plans will not be realized.
