India’s ATK Mohun Bagan has won Wednesday's AFC Cup group stage match against India’s Bengaluru FC.
Mohun Bagan won the match played at the National Stadium on Wednesday, in Capital city Male’, with 2-0 score.
While both teams showed similarly good performance levels starting out, Bengaluru FC’s Jayesh Ranaa, at the 11th minute, came extremely close to scoring a goal, which was missed. The second close call was at the 20th minute, by Mohun Bagan’s midfielder, Hugo Boumous, which was saved by Bengaluru FC’s goalkeeper, Grupreeth.
Mohun Bagan took the lead of the match at the 39th minute the first goal being scored by Krishna. Almost immediately, following the starting of the second half, the second goal was score by Subhasish Bose. After the second goal, Bengaluru FC’s performance drastically furthered, however, no goals were scored by the team for the rest of the match.
This match is the third time that Mohun Bagan has won a match against Bengaluru FC. As such, Mohun Bagan had won two matches played against Bengaluru in the Indian Super League.
While Mohun Bagan won the match on Wednesday evening, their next game will be played on Saturday, against Maldives’ Maziya Sports and Recreation. As well as this, Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Kings will also play against Bengaluru FC.
