255,954 people were fully vaccinated in the Maldives by the end of Friday.
According to the information publicized by Health Protection Agency (HPA), vaccination centres in capital Male' were closed on Friday.
Hence, only 699 people received their vaccine doses on Friday including 25 first and 674 second doses.
With this, the number of people who have gotten a first dose of the vaccine has risen to 320,482 while those who have received the second dose now stands at 255,954.
HPA has announced that Covid-19 vaccination centres in the Greater Male' Region will be temporarily closed from July 18, for the Eid holidays.
While they have yet to announce a date on when the centres will reopen, government offices are closed until the end of July.
The vaccines currently being administered in Maldives are, Covishield, Sinopharm, and Pfizer. Due to insufficient supply, Covishield had briefly discontinued, resuming administration on July 4.
