President arrives in Hanimaadhoo on final leg of South Thiladhunmathi tour
They are to return to Male' on Sunday

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has travelled to Hanimaadhoo island in Haa Dhaalu atoll, the last stop of his three-island tour to South Thiladhunmathi atoll.

The president and First Lady Fazna Ahmed traveled to southern division of the atoll on Friday, and are to return later on Sunday, accompanied by a number of senior government officials including cabinet members.

While they traveled to Kulhudhuffushi City first, there the president met with the city council, management of the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital (KRH), South Thiladhunmathi Atoll council as well as educators and senior officers of the Upper North Police Station.

The first lady was busy as well during the one-day trip to the city, visiting the Family and Children’s Service Centre and meeting with members of the Kulhudhuffushi Women’s Development Committee.

After Kulhudhuffushi, the delegation traveled to Kumundhoo on Saturday. He met with the island's council and women's development committee and visited the island's health centre and school on Sunday before leaving for Hanimaadhoo.

Solih will inaugurate the road-development project during the visit to Hanimaadhoo.

The delegation is able to travel to islands without quarantining as per the latest eases to Covid-19 restrictions which allows fully vaccinated individuals to travel between islands after presenting a negative PCR test result.
