Telecommunications provider Dhiraagu, in collaboration with Samsung, donated 60 Galaxy Tabs to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.

During the digital ceremony held on Tuesday, the tablets were presented to Health Minister Ahmed Naseem, by Dhiraagu's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and MD Ismail Rasheed and the MD of Samsung Sri Lanka, Kevin SungSu.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Naseem expressed gratitude to Dhiraagu and Samsung for the donation. He also highlighted Dhiraagu's efforts in providing aid during the pandemic.

Dhiraagu said that these tablets were gifted in order to help the Covid-19 vaccination programme given the increase in demand for digital equipment amid the ongoing pandemic. It said this is part of supporting the government's digitization efforts and pandemic management.
