Vice President Faisal Naseem has engaged in extensive discussions on programmes to address social issues within the Maldivian communities, with the Social Ethics Committee.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office on Wednesday, a wide range of topics were discussed on social ethics and values, including the introduction of programmes to instill more social values within school children and guardians.
As such, VP Naseem noted that it is important to instill lasting moral values and good discipline in the younger generations. He added that it is important to introduce programmes that target the instruction of children on social ethics, from within the educational framework and outside the framework of education.
The vice president added that communities nationwide must work together to sustain ethical values and bolster the social fabric.
He went on to note that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has also on countless occasion, shed light on the importance of all state institutions and agencies to cooperate on enhancing positive social growth and to supporting shared ethics and integrity.
