Police have found the body of a 13-year-old boy a day after he was reported abducted.
While his body was found in the capital’s suburban district Hulhumale’ at 2:38am on Tuesday, police said the search for the boy started immediately after the abduction case was filed on June 20.
Police have since confirmed the arrest of two suspects in relation to the abduction and murder; a 17-year-old and 27-year-old.
It assured that this “heinous crime is being investigated with utmost diligence”.
RaajjeMV has learnt that the young boy was a native of Madaveli island in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll, which has been confirmed by the island's council.
