Residents thrilled with Hoarafushi Airport services, marks anniversary

The first airport developed by the incumbent administration in Haa Alif atoll since assuming office in November 2018, Hoarafushi Airport boasts a 1,200-meter long, 35-meter wide runway, an apron measuring 8,635 square meters with the inclusion of a taxiway, a parking area stretching up to 9,473 square feet as well as an airport security and beach fence measuring 720. It is the first-ever beach front airport to be established in the Maldives. The government celebrated one year since the inception of services at the airport, on 20 November 2021.
