FENAKA wins two International Finance Awards
FENAKA bagged the Best Green Project and the Best Green Initiative under the Utility/Energy category awards

State utility company FENAKA Corporation has bagged two awards in the International Finance Awards 2021.
Taking to Twitter to make the reveal, FENAKA expressed delight in having received the two awards.
The company received awards for the Best Green Project as well as the Best Green Initative under the utility/energy category of the International Finance Awards 2021.
FENAKA brought home the Best Green Project for the Interconnection Project initiated in Gan island of Laamu atoll. The initiative has been dubbed the biggest network upgrading project by the company to date.
The project was kick started during July 2019 and saw the powerhouses in Mukurimagu, Mathimaradhoo and Thundi districts interconnected.
The central powerhouse was established and inaugurated during December 2020. FENAKA had planted cables across a total of 17,000 meters in Gan island for the project. The project has since proven to be efficient in saving costs for atoll residents.
