Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid congratulated the new Foreign Minister of Vietnam following appointment
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid has expressed commitment to work closely with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, Bui Thanh Son to further enhance the close bilateral ties between both countries.
Sending a congratulatory message to the new Vietnamese minister following his appointment as the new Foreign Minister, FM Shahid extended heartfelt felicitations on the occasion.
FM Shahid stated his assurance that the existing ties of friendship and cooperation between Maldives and Vietnam will continue to flourish and further strengthen and reinforce during Son’s ministerial tenure.
With this being said, FM Shahid noted that the Maldives foreign ministry will continue to collaborate closely with the new Vietnamese minister in further strengthening close bilateral relations.
Further, the Maldives minister extended best wishes for his Vietnamese counterpart’s good health and wellbeing, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity for the Vietnamese people.
Maldives and Viet Nam have enjoyed over four decades of close bonds based on mutual respect and trust.
