HPA begins administering second Covishield doses in Malé
Shot are being administered to those who got their first doses on the first four days of February

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has begun administering the second doses of Covid-19 vaccinations across the Greater Malé Region.
According to the public health authority who made the announcement on Saturday, the second doses of vaccinations are being administered to individuals who received their first Covishield shots between February 1 – 4 in the capital region.
The vaccinations will be carried out at the Social Center, National Art Gallery, Hulhumalé Vaccination Center and Senahiya between 10am and 3pm.
Further, vaccinations will also be provided between 10am and 2pm at the Villimalé Youth Center.
Health authorities have urged those attending vaccination centers to carry their vaccination cards and ID cards, passports or license cards when seeking their second Covishield doses.
In addition, those who are seeking their first Covid-19 vaccination doses will be required to visit the People’s Majlis building in Malé and Tree Top Hospital located in Hulhumalé, between 10am and 3pm.
Individuals who are eligible to receive their vaccinations have been urged by authorities to get inoculated before the fasting month of Ramadan begins.
Earlier, the Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Mabrook Aziz revealed that individuals will be allowed to travel to islands without the need for the mandatory quarantine period after getting their second vaccination doses. However, authorities are yet to disclose details on allowing travel between islands without having to quarantine.
