BroadCom names sent for review
President's preferences for BroadCom being reviewed by Majlis committee
One name will be approved for appointment to the BroadCom, which is comprised of seven members in total
The names have now been forwarded to the Parliament Committee on Independent Institutions for review
President Solih has forwarded three names for review prior to appointment to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom)

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's recommendations for appointment to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission have been sent to review to the Parliament Committee on Independent Institutions.

A seat has been vacated on the Broadcasting Commission as April 4 will mark the end of the tenure of commission member Uz. Aminath Saraahath Izzath. Following this, the President has sent a list of three persons preferred for the appointment for review to the Parliament Committee on Independent Institutions.

The names of those preferred for the position by President Solih are as follows;

1. Uz. Fathimath Saushan, M. Vancouver

2. Shifla Ibrahim, G. Masodige

3. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Javaahiru Asseyri, ADh. Maamigili

The Maldives Broadcasting Commission is comprised of seven members, President Mariyam Waheedhaa, Vice President Ahmed Gais, Commissioner Amjad Waheed, Commissioner Ali Yusuf, Commissioner Aminath Ameenaa, Commissioner Aminath Sarahath Izzath, along with most recently appointed member Mohamed Fazeen.
