Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid has discussed shared priorities in the international fora with his counterpart in Lesotho, Matšepo Ramakoae.
FM Shahid and the minister of Lesotho engaged in discussions during a virtual meeting on Monday, where a number of issues of mutual concern including financing for development and climate change were touched down on.
Shedding light on shared priorities in the international fora including the achievement of sustainable development goals, financing for development, and climate change, both ministers deliberated on the situation surrounding the ongoing global Covid-19 pandemic as well.
As such, both ministered briefed one another on measures in place to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 and working for a complete and comprehensive recovery post-pandemic.
FM Shahid expressed keenness to enhance bilateral and multilateral collaboration with Lesotho.
Further, both ministers reaffirmed their commitment towards enhancing cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
