Two individuals have been remanded in connection to a case of gang violence in Fuvahmulah City.

In a message to media outlets, Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case being investigated involves two Maldivian men, aged 25 and 22 respectively.

They were remanded by 10 days at a facility allocated by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The 25-year-old and 22-year-old men were arrested under a court order, some time on Friday, and are accused of assaulting an individual on August 28.

Details of the victim have not been disclosed by the authority.

The case is under further investigation, revealed the police institution.
