The Maldives Pension Administration Office has issued over MVR 117 million as pension for the month of July.
According to the monthly statistics released by the office, a total of MVR 117,440,549.50 was issued as pension payments this month.
The greatest amount was provided as basic pension, where MVR 86,286,402.70 was issued in total for 18,172 pensioners as basic pension.
A total of 1,366 pensioners received the retirement pension during this concluding month, totaling MVR 7,150,321.35.
Other retirement allowances provided during the concluding month total MVR 6,112,145.24, for a total of 3,242 individuals.
Further, state allowances were provided for pensioners from state institutions and government offices as well. 4,022 pensioners received a total of MVR 17,891,680.21 as allowances.
Apart from the retirement pension, other pension and allowances are provided through the state budget, revealed the Pension Office.
