The Presidential Inquiry Commission on Corruption and State Asset Recovery has revealed that their findings so far do not indicate that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had received funds through the largest case of graft in the country’s history involving the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

During a press briefing held on Thursday evening, the president of the inquiry commission, Ahmed Assad revealed that they “surely” have not noticed any such transactions including the president in their findings thus far.

Assad assured that if they find such a thing, they will look into it further with no hesitation.

The commission president revealed that such a case has not been probed yet.

A number of social media users are pinning accusations of having received the embezzled money, on the president and Assad has since assured that these claims will be investigated as well.

However, with the commission’s finding’s they do not believe it is necessary to investigate social media claims.
