Dark Rain Entertainment has officially released its ‘Mee Loaybakee’ – translates to ‘this is love’, its much-awaited rom-com aimed at mature audiences.

The movie was released on Wednesday night at the Olympus theatre.

Mee Loaybakee was directed by Ali ‘Chippe’ Shifau based on a screenplay both he and Aishath Fuad Thaufeeq had developed.

Mohamed Ali, the movie’s producer, said on Wednesday that he believes it to be different from anything Dark Rain has ever produced before.

The movie stars faces that Maldivians are well-acquainted with, such Jumayyil Nimal and Mariyam Azza.
