Local telecommunications service provider, Dhiraagu has introduced an exciting new mobile application for their customers, titled “Dhiraagu Play”.

The app enables customers to stream a wide range of entertainment content online and aims to provide Dhiraagu customers the convenience of the “true TV experience” while on the go, at a time residents of the Greater Malé Region have been locked down indoors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dhiraagu Play enables customers to stream a variety of different entertainment shows including video-on-demand content through their mobile devices anywhere in the Maldives, at an affordable price and offers convenience as well. As such, customers can watch shows, live sports, movies, “anywhere, anytime”.

Up to 25 channels are up for streaming upon subscription.

Some of the features of the mobile app includes:

  • Recording favorite shows on Live TV and schedule recording for upcoming shows, in advance,
  • Catching up with favorite shows that customers may have missed,
  • Start watching shows again, if customers missed the first half of their favorite shows. This feature enables customers to easily rewind back to the beginning and start over.

Further, the telecom provider revealed that terms and conditions apply for streaming, as such, only mobile customers are applicable for the app.

Dhiraagu Play also offers a dedicated “Education Zone” which offers educational content to assist students to continue studying during the lockdown period.

Customers are required to download the app from App Store or Google Play Store to register for the app, before June 15 in order to enjoy one month of free subscription.
