Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof has completed his self-isolation period and rejoined the delivery service frontlines.

In a Tweet on Sunday, the minister noted that he has resumed delivery work with volunteers at Ihsan Shop after completing 15 days in self-isolation.

Highlighting that the “biggest lesson” learnt from this is that the risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus is lowered when individuals strictly adhere to the delivery protocol and safety instructions set by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Mahloof added that he resumed delivery work with the team after confirming that he has not exhibited Covid-19 like symptoms.

The minister went into self-isolation after employees at Ihsan Shop tested positive for Covid-19; the minister was active in delivery services there when they tested positive.

The government earlier revealed that three ministers were in self-isolation. As such, Minister of Economic Development, Fayyaz Ismail had also undergone a self-isolation period. The minister did not exhibit any symptoms during this time and is currently in good health, he said.
