A resident of Milandhoo island in Shaviyani atoll has tested positive to Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Although the island’s health center has confirmed the matter to RaajjeMV, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) is yet to confirm it.
The individual is to have travelled via “Amaaz” boat. The boat’s captain has since turned positive for the virus along with six others from Narudhoo island, where the 49-year-old captain is native to.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has since confirmed that 101 primary contacts of the boat captain had been identified.
On April 15, the captain is to have taken 98 passengers to 13 islands in the north from capital city Malé., it was the same day the city was locked down after the first community transmission was discovered.
The 13 islands are:

- Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu
- Velidhoo, Noonu
- Holhudhoo, Noonu
