Changes have been brought to the bus schedule between Malé and Hulhumalé following the beginning of Ramadan 1441.
Following the lockdown declared across the Greater Malé region after the first case of the Covid-19 community transmission was observed, transport between the capital region has been at a standstill.
However, arrangements have been made to transport permit holders from companies and other institutes.
Earlier, the Greater Malé Transport Link scheduled four trips for both Malé and Hulhumalé during lockdown, however, this has been changed following the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan.
As such, seven rounds will be made between Malé and Hulhumalé.
With this change, the bus will depart from the suburban district to Malé at;
- 07:30am,
- 09am,
- 01:45pm,
- 4pm,
- 05:30pm,
- 8pm and
- 10pm
The bus is scheduled to depart from Malé at:
- 8am,
- 11am,
- 3pm,
- 5pm,
- 7pm,
- 9pm and
- 12:30am
These changes are followed by duty changes of the employees acquiring these bus services as well as to provide ease for those with permits who wish to acquire the transport service.
All transport services across the region were halted on 15 April.
