Following the alarming increase in the number of Covid-19 cases being reported on a daily basis, authorities have decided to conduct Covid-19 tests on all those who consult at flu clinics.
This was revealed by Medical Officer at the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Dr. Nazla Rafeeq during a press briefing held on Monday afternoon.
The doctor noted that a number of individuals who had consulted at the flu clinic had tested positive to the infection.
In light of this, authorities will be conducting tests for all arrivals at the flu clinic.
While the first community transmission was discovered after a Maldivian woman consulted at the flu clinic after exhibiting Covid-19 like symptoms, several others have tested upon presenting to a clinic since.
