Over MVR 1.7 million stolen during break-in at the office of Apollo Holdings Pvt Ltd.
Media official at the Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case was lodged on Monday and that robbers had broken into the Apollo Holdings office and broken into the safe.
Robbers took MVR 1.7 million and USD 2,200 during the break-in, reported police.
No arrests have been made in connection to the break-in, yet.
The case is under further investigation, revealed police.
Police statistics reveal that a total of 1,236 cases of theft were reported thus far in 2020.
