Membership opportunities have been opened for applications at the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC).
The President’s Office began accepting applications for the vacancy at MBC on Monday and the opportunity was opened for the recently vacated post following Fathmath Zaina’s removal.
Forms have been made available at the office’s front desk and interested individuals may download the application through their official website as well.
Deadline for submissions has been set at 2pm, 27 October, a Sunday.
This comes at a time the President of the commission, Mohamed Shaheeb’s resigned on 9 October, while a motion had been forwarded to the parliament floor to remove him.
Opportunity was then opened for interested individuals to apply for Broadcom Presidency, for which the deadline ended on 20 October.
Broadcom comprises of seven members out of which four became vacant after Fathmath Zaina’s removal and Hassan Nabaah’s resignation.
Parliament’s Committee on Independent Institutions on 15 October, revealed their decision to conduct interview sessions for those who apply for the vacancy at Broadcom, within the first week of November.
