National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has on Wednesday gifted four drones to Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).

The drones were gifted at a ceremony held at Bandaarakoshi to meet with the MNDF leadership.

Drones were handed over by NDMA's Chief Executive Hisaan Hassan, Deputy Chief Executive Umar Moosa Fikuree and Director General Safeenaz.

The drones were received by Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, MNDF Coast Guard Commandant Colonel Mohamed Saleem and MNDF Fire and Rescue Service Commandant Colonel Abdulla Ibrahim.

These devices are believed to strengthen the police operational capacity and enhance disaster response in their work to relieve disaster and humanitarian assistance operations.
