Bollywood superstar, Shahrukh Khan is in the Maldives on holiday.
He arrived in the Maldives on Thursday morning, with his family.
While photos of them at Velana International Airport (VIA) have circulated on social media, the photos show that they are staying at Jumeirah Vittaveli Resort in South Malé atoll.
Shahrukh’s wife, Gauri cannot be seen in these photos, but local news outlet ‘PSM News’ reports that she is with them in the country as well.
The star is currently on a break from films, and he will be seen as Mufasa in The Lion King’s Hindi version, to be released on Friday. His elder son, Aryan, is the voice on Simba.
Maldives has become a popular destination among Bollywood stars. Some of those that visited the Maldives this year includes, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi.
The archipelago nation has also become popular among western stars in recent years, given the fact that they are free from paparazzi here.
Some of the major Hollywood stars that have holidayed in the Maldives thus far this year are; Cara Delavigne, Ashley Benson, Rita Ora, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson. In addition, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas recently honeymooned in the South Asian nation, following their wedding in June.
