The speed ferry service has been introduced to Thiladhunmathi Atoll.

Maldives transportation and Contracting Company's services were newly expanded to three of HA atoll's islands including Hoarafushi and to three islands of HDh atoll.

The ceremony to introduce the ferry service to the islands was inaugurated by the vice president, Faisal Naseem. In the opening speech, the vice president said that improving the transportation services will be the top priority of the government. He also emphasized on the importance of transportation being accessible to all the islands.

The vice president assured that the government will take necessary action to bring development to the residents.
