Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid on Thursday arrived in Abu Dhabi to participate in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s 46th Foreign Ministers Meeting. 

While the meeting began on Friday, Minister Shahid is participating with an aide from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office in Malé. 

The ministry’s press office says that Minister Shahid will discuss Maldives’ ‘political and democratic’ gains.

Minister Shahid was welcomed in Abu Dhabi by the Maldivian embassy.

Minister Shahid, along with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, recently concluded a visit to the United Arab Emirates.
