A car crash in Hithadhoo district of Addu City has left a building severely damaged.

The accident occurred on the main road of Hithadhoo, when a car lost control and crashed into the building where State Bank of India branch is located. It was reported at around 2:40pm on Monday.

No injuries have been reported in connection to the car crash.

However, RaajjeMV understands that the building has been left with major damages. As such, the glass panes of the building have been shattered and a part of the building’s roof has also fallen off.

The car had also attained damages due to the crash.

Although the cause of the accident is yet unclear, Maldives Police Service (MPS) is investigating the accident.
