A car being driven along the link road in southernmost Addu City’s link road highway has combusted.

The incident was reported to have occurred at about 1:05am on Tuesday, the police say.

The car combusted due an issue with the ‘dashboard’, the driver said, adding that it had begun to fume when he left the vehicle.

No one had been injured in the incident and it is currently being investigated by the Maldives Police Service.
