Main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is to reveal the constituencies the party will be vying for in the upcoming Parliamentary Election 2019.
RaajjeMV understands that MDP will be making the announcement on Friday, with the party already having revealed the timeline for the party primary. The now ruling party also revealed that they will be deciding to give the ticket to the party’s contestant after the internal primaries, scheduled to be held on the 18th of January.
Those who submit their membership forms before the 07th of December may cast their votes at the party primary.
MDP will be publicizing the voters list on the 13th of December and members will be given the opportunity to submit complaints regarding the list on the same date. Complaints will be accepted till the 16th of December following which the final voters list will be publicized on the 18th.
Those who wish to contest in the party primary may submit their bids before 19th December.
The announcement also states that those who submit their bids are also required to submit the signatures of 200 eligible voters from the constituency he/she wishes to contest for.
