President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and senior members of his transition team have been meeting with foreign dignitaries ahead of his inauguration.

On Thursday, Director General of Transition Ahmed Latheef and Solih’s representative and former speaker Abdulla Shahid met with the Indian external affairs’ joint secretary Sanjay Pandey.

Indian Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra also joined the meeting held at the transition committee’s office at the STELCO building.

Senior government officials of neighboring nations have been arriving in Male’ to meet with the president-elect and his transition team.

The foreign ministry has been inviting foreign dignitaries to Solih’s inauguration on November 11.
