The United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force plane that landed at Velana International Airport on Friday is there to deliver in spare parts to another plane, says the Maldives National Defense Force.

Defense Force Captain Ibrahim Azim said that the Royal Air Force plane landed after receiving approval.

The plane was carrying spare parts for another military plane that has been grounded at the international airport since landing to refuel on October 8.

The grounded plane was being used to deliver humanitarian aid to Indonesia.
