Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) has opened opportunity for interested individuals to apply for the post of administrator.
While window has been opened to submit bids for administration, it has been over two months since the former Judicial Service Administrator Hassan Saeed was sacked from his post and it remains vacant since.
According to an announcement made by the Supreme Court, the deadline to apply for the position is the 14th of October.
The announcement also reveals that the salary for the position will be allocated at MVR 30,000 with a living allowance of MVR 15,000 and phone allowance of MVR 2,000. While the tenure of an administrator is five years, qualifications include having a degree and being experienced in the field for senior management.
Moreover, if the judge’s bench at the Supreme Court finds the person competent enough to manage administrative work, he or she will be given a second tenure.
Following the State of Emergency that was declared nation-wide by President Abdulla Yameen on the 05th of February, a wave of arrests was made by the Maldives Police Service, including administrator Hassan Saeed. However, he was sacked from his post much later, on the 10th of July.
Authorities had raised charges of bribery and obstruction to law enforcement, on Saeed.
