Former Attorney General and Prominent lawyer Husnu Al Suood has been suspended.
This was announced in a statement released by the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) on Tuesday, which stated that his suspension follows an inappropriate tweet he had posted on the 24th of September, regarding the judiciary.

He further asserted that Chief Justice Dr. Ahmed Abdulla must resign from his post immediately.
This is not the first time the ex-Attorney General has been suspended from practicing law. His last suspension was lifted in February, after the initial Supreme Court ruling on the 01st of February ordering for the release of political prisoners and reinstatement of opposition-aligned members of parliament. Following this, he was suspended again and banned from entering the Criminal Court in mid-March.
