Kendhoo constituency MP Ali Hussain has said that their 'work will not end' after casting a vote in the upcoming presidential election,
Hussain said this while speaking at an opposition rally in Thulhaadhoo island of Baa atoll on Saturday night, where he added that they can only head home after sending off incumbent President Abdulla Yameen.
Noting that Maldivians are currently living under a tyrannical government, he said that the only way to defend the country and its independence is through the people.
MP Hussain said that Maldives is slowly losing its independence due to huge loans from other nations, adding that the current administration continues to take all loans that are being offered but that 'they have no plans to pay these loans back'.
Furthermore, Hussain said that the reason there is so much corruption in the country is 'because there is no justice here'. He said that the reason all institutions including the courts are hijacked 'is not to gain the people's love but to gather as much money as they can'.
