The home ministry has said that it will take action against those reporting on prison convicts.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the ministry said that publishing writings with quotes from convicts should only be done according to the rules and regulations.
The ministry said it has been repeatedly warned that it would take action against those who publish such writing.
The ministry also quoted the Prisons and Parole Act’s section 62 saying that a person serving a prison sentence cannot be a senior member or join activities of political parties and organizations.
The Prions and Parole Act has specific guidelines on meeting prison convicts and obtaining and publishing information they disclose.
