EC team departs to observe Malaysian General Election
While campaigns for the general election are proceeding, the Malaysian Elections Commission states that the final preparations for it are underway
The 14th Malaysian General Election is scheduled to be held on the 09th of May

Elections Commission (EC) President Ahmed Shareef and member of the commission Ahmed Akram have departed to Malaysia on Sunday to observe the Malaysian General Election slated for 9th May.

The 14th Malaysian General Election, scheduled to be held on the 9th of May, will see the election of members of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia and Elections Commission of Malaysia had reportedly requested the presence of Maldives representatives to observe it.

Prominent political leaders of Malaysia state that this election will be that of a crucial political battle between Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and opposition Pakatan Harapan (PPBM)'s leader Mahathir Mohamed.

While campaigns for the general election are proceeding full steam ahead, the Malaysian Elections Commission states that the final preparations for it are underway.
