Galolhu South Constituency MP Ahmed Mahloof says that he had heard rumors that Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed and Justice Ali Hameed are to be taken to Aarah, the Presidential retreat, where they would be forced to resign from their positions.

Speaking to RaajjeMV MP Mahloof said that the two are to be offered a generous retirement package in exchange for authorities dropping their cases.

If the rumors are true, he said the authorities must investigate this and put a stop to this.

Additionally, he added that President Abdullah Yameen and Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Major General Ahmed Shiyam are to go to the retreat as well.

When RaajjeMV attempted to question the President’s Office Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali, he had responded that there were many activists posing as journalists at RaajjeMV. He added that he had no information to disclose.

MP Mahloof had also tweeted two photos, allegedly of the President and Major General Shiyam departing to Aarah.
