Jameela Ali Khalid has been appointed as the Maldives' Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu presented the letter of credence to Jameela during a special ceremony held at the President's Office on Monday.
Jameela has previously served as the Maldivian Ambassador to Germany and as the Vice President of the Civil Service Commission.
The Maldives' former Ambassador to the United Kingdom was Iruthisham Adam. However, the position has remained vacant since her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
