President nominates Jameela for the post of Maldivian Ambassador to the UK

The position of Maldivian Ambassador to the United Kingdom is currently vacant following the appointment of the former envoy, Iruthisham Adam, to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has submitted the nomination of Jameela Ali Khalid to the People’s Majlis for approval as the Maldives' Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

The Maldives' former Ambassador to the United Kingdom was Iruthisham Adam. However, the position is currently vacant following her appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Jameela has previously served as the Maldivian Ambassador to Germany and held the position of Vice President of the Civil Service Commission.

Jameela's appointment to this position will be finalized following a review by the Committee on Foreign Relations and a subsequent vote on the Majlis floor.
