Fairoosh Resigns as State Minister at Home Ministry

Having served a lengthy tenure within the police force, Fairoosh expressed his sincere gratitude to the institutions and colleagues who supported him throughout his career.

Dr. Abdulla Fairoosh has resigned from his position as State Minister at the Ministry of Homeland Security and Technology.
In a post shared on X, Fairoosh stated that the decision was made after extensive and careful consideration.
He stated that he believes now is the most appropriate time to conclude his career in public service. Fairoosh also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity he was given to serve the public.
In his resignation message, Fairoosh expressed special gratitude to all the colleagues he worked alongside and the institutions he had the opportunity to serve. He noted that he offered his sincere thanks to all those parties.
Dr. Abdulla Fairoosh is a veteran of the Maldives Police Service, having served in the force for a significant tenure. During his career, he held the high-ranking position of Assistant Commissioner of Police. Dr. Fairoosh retired from the police service in 2021.
Fairush previously held a position at the Ministry of Higher Education. Following his tenure there, he was appointed as the State Minister for Homeland Security and Technology.
