A Malaysian carrier, Raya Airways, has revealed plans to launch dedicated freight flights running between Malaysia and the Maldives.
This initiative represents the airline's inaugural scheduled cargo route tailored explicitly for shipping freight to the Maldivian archipelago.
Starting in mid-August 2026, non-stop flights will connect Penang, Malaysia, directly to Malé, Maldives. The expansion aligns with the company's overarching push to broaden its freight network throughout Asia.
As a major air carrier in the Asia-Pacific territory, Raya Airways focuses on scheduled air cargo, express freight deliveries, and aircraft charter solutions.
