MIB reports MVR 111m net profit for Q2

The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has completed the second quarter of 2026 on a strong financial note, generating a net profit of MVR 111.42 million, which reflects an annual increase of 15.66 percent.
The institution's total asset base expanded to MVR 19.31 billion by the close of the period, marking a 4.37 percent gain over the prior quarter and an impressive 43.52 percent jump relative to the matching timeframe in 2025.
In addition to this, operating profit climbed to MVR 170 million, registering a 4.29 percent rise from the previous quarter.
On the deposit front, customer holdings grew by 5.37 percent during the quarter to reach MVR 16.22 billion, representing a dramatic 46.24 percent expansion year over year.
Overall revenues totaled MVR 284.60 million, representing a 5.85 percent advance over the preceding quarter and a 32.07 percent surge compared to the same quarter of the prior year.
