Speaking during RaajjeTV’s special Independence Day coverage, Saleem emphasized that the sincerity of individuals appointed to independent institutions is paramount to strengthening institutional functions and ensuring the protection of workers' rights.
Saleem stated that the involvement of sincere individuals in collective efforts serves as a significant solution to addressing various challenges.
Furthermore, he stated that the independence of independent institutions is being called into question, as the current system allows the President to appoint his preferred candidates from names submitted to the People's Majlis. Saleem specifically noted that public confidence is declining in key oversight bodies, such as the Elections Commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Auditor General's Office.
Reflecting on the performance of state institutions, Saleem stated that employees working within independent bodies are currently operating under a climate of job insecurity.
He stated that individuals are sacrificing the rights of others to protect their own jobs, resulting in significant detriment to the workforce.
