Government presents one face to the public while playing a sinister hand behind the scenes in everything they do: Nishan
Legal expert Nishan has alleged that the proposed introduction of an electronic voting system is an attempt to influence elections and manipulate outcomes. Highlighting public discontent over the government's sluggish pace, he further asserted that the administration's performance warrants no more than a "D" grade from the citizens.

Renowned legal expert Mohamed Nishan Ibrahim has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s administration presents one face to the public while secretly playing a deceptive hand in every action it takes.
Speaking on RaajjeTV’s "Fala Surukhee" program, Nishan stated that as the administration approaches its two-and-a-half-year mark, the public has already seen the results of its actions and rhetoric. He further asserted that in every endeavor undertaken by the government thus far, they have presented one face to the public while secretly playing a deceptive hand behind the scenes.
Referring to the use of eFaas and electronic voting systems, Nishan stated that the transition of service requests and delivery to the eFaas platform is being driven by numerous undisclosed and dark motives. He further asserted that electronic voting systems are untrustworthy, claiming that digitizing all processes would allow the government to manipulate outcomes to achieve their desired results.
When we carefully analyze these matters through legal, academic, and political lenses, it becomes evident that this administration has a pattern of harboring hidden agendas behind every such action. This is much like the Dhivehi proverb which suggests that the true meaning of a poem remains hidden within the poet’s heart. While one thing is presented to the public, the reality is something else entirely. This is precisely how this government operates.Prominent legal expert Mohamed Nishan Ibrahim
Furthermore, Nishan stated that the public is dissatisfied with the government's performance during its time in office so far, noting that there is significant unrest across the entire country.
Nishaan stated that the government is moving at a snail's pace and is failing to maintain the necessary momentum. He further noted that the administration has failed to deliver essential services to the citizens, adding that many of its actions are currently being called into question.
Nishaan stated that the government is struggling to respond to the public's inquiries and expressed confidence that citizens would award the administration's performance a "D" grade. He noted that this outcome would be evident to the world through election results, but warned that transitioning to electronic voting would grant the government the power to manipulate outcomes as they see fit. Furthermore, Nishaan alleged that the independence of the Elections Commission has been compromised specifically to exert influence over the electoral process.
