A large number of pilgrims are currently in Mecca to perform the Umrah pilgrimage during the holy month of Ramadan under the care of Faree Hajj and Umrah Group, one of the most trusted operators among Maldivian pilgrims.
The first group traveled to Mecca on Monday, February 16, 2026, followed by the second group on Tuesday, February 17.
The pilgrims traveling with this group have successfully completed two Umrah pilgrimages to date. Furthermore, they have visited Medina to explore and experience various ancient Islamic historical sites. During the trip, the pilgrims visited the Rawdah Ash-Sharifah, the Quba Mosque, and the historic battlefield of Uhud. Throughout these visits, religious scholars provided spiritual guidance and shared detailed historical insights regarding each location.
Under the guidance of Faree and the dedicated care of assistants of both genders, pilgrims are currently performing their Umrah rituals with great ease. The group is enjoying authentic Maldivian cuisine prepared by local chefs, allowing them to focus more of their time on worship. Faree, the head of Faree Hajj and Umrah Group, noted that first-time pilgrims were well-prepared for the journey through pre-planned online classes and information sessions. He emphasized that these efforts ensured pilgrims were fully briefed and ready for any situation they might encounter during the pilgrimage.
Officials from the group have confirmed that all pilgrims currently in Mecca are in good health, by the grace of Allah. They further noted that several informative activities and site visits are scheduled for the coming days.
As in previous years, numerous Umrah trips have been scheduled to coincide with school holidays this year. Specifically, trips are slated for June, July, September, and December 2026. Faree Hajj and Umrah Group advises those planning to perform the pilgrimage or seeking further information to contact their hotlines at 9110909 or 9632514.
