The President's Office has reopened applications for three technical advisory committees after the initial call for members received a poor response. These committees are being established to provide the government with specialized expertise and strategic counsel.

The call for members to join these technical advisory committees includes the "Tourism Sector Advisory Committee," established to ensure the sustainable development and advancement of the Maldivian tourism industry; the "Construction Sector Advisory Committee," aimed at the sustainable growth of the construction industry; and the "Fisheries Sector Advisory Committee," dedicated to the sustainable development and progress of the fisheries and mariculture sectors.

The President's Office has announced an extension for submitting applications for membership on these committees, with the new deadline set for 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Applications will be accepted starting this Sunday. According to the President's Office, application forms can be submitted via email to info@po.gov.mv or at the President's Office reception counter. Submissions will be accepted on working days between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. throughout the application period.

Application forms for membership on the committees are available at the President's Office reception desk. Additionally, the forms can be downloaded from the President's Office website.
